I'm short of a thursday..funny ain't it?! Yesterday was wednesday, today's friday. I'm backkkk to the future. Wheeeee! How it all started.. it was a long 21st dec which lasted for 40 hours. Left the airport at 7am, got onto the 22hour long plane and off to Los Angeles. Wheee! I'm flying.
Haagen daaz machine was spotted when we transit at Toyko.

Reached LA at about 11am (still on the 21st dec), took prime time to Anaheim and off to lunch at some super salty pizza place. By then, it was already 330pm, we went to Kmart & savon drugs to pick up some food and gallons of water. Guess what I saw??

cheap cheap thrill of bloody mary, margaritas, jim beam.. you name it, they got it.
the max it went up to was US$12..
The day ended at 6pm.. it was cold and dark cuz it was winter.
22nd came, and I woke up at 1230 in the afternoon.. which cancelled the plan of going to disneyland. So I went shopping at orange mall. The thing about buses there.. it makes transportation for handicapped people easy, a ram and big space is provided at no charge at all. The bad thing is, the buses only travel on one route. To get to orange mall, I had to change buses. Long waiting time and troublesome. Oh anyhow, I bought Victorian clothes. very vintage and neat. *happy*
Then, on the 23rd, I went to disneyland at 9am. I think I grew a little to old for disneyland, i'm not scared of the rides anymore. Oh, if you need company for rollercoasters, you know who to call. wheee. i love rides with thrill like the lethal weapon at goldcoast universal studios. Oh anyhow, indiana jones car ride was fantastic and I got to ride my carosel.
oh btw, have you caught the animated scene starring..

Alice invited my bro & I to her tea party, which is my brother's favourite. He loves going round and round until everyone in the cup gets dizzy. cheap thrill ay.

the carolsl

characters

Yay! Completed all the rides. Left disneyland at 12midnight and headed to Denny's for supper. The thing about restaurants.. they serve you the food when all the dishes are ready for your table. So imagine waiting for steak to get cooked, while ur order was mashed potatos. One long hour.
On the 24th, I went shopping at South Coast Plaza.. as usual, i woke up late. haha. Ate McRibs at MacDonalds. Singapore Mac should have it, it's yummilicious! I visited Victoria Secrets, Abercrombie, Old Navy.. Nothing nice to buy from there... serious! Now I know.. it is the emotional arousal of marketing their clothes that entice people who don't live in the states to buy them. Seriously, i'm saving my pocket money from this day onwards. Then went colin and family for christmas eve dinner at mi casita cafe. Good stuff!
On the 25th, (Singapore 26th) Merry Christmas! the decors on the trees, people's gardens, cars were sooooo beautiful! oh man. i love it. The transport rides are freee on christmas.

one of the bigger cars in LA
Went to L.A. downtown. it opened my eyes to a whole new world. It isn't like what it seems on tv. The roads are dirty, the people there were poor and many were walking around in clutches. The things there were fake branded goods, selling really cheaply. There were fake policemen and security walking around greeting you. isn't it just so weird and scary?!
Then, I took the metro to Hollywood Highland,

from L-R:bugs bunny, keanu reeves, rod steward, jackie chan...there were stars on the ground, handprints and footprints on cements and people in costume from spiderman (there were apparently like 3 spidermen) to batman to pirates of the carribean which chased me down the street caused I called him a pirate. hahaha. Thank God for legs. Due to the well-known dangerous history of L.A. downtown, I headed to Chinatown at 1pm and ate Singaporean Lor Mee. *grin*

Jc cafeIt is called JC cafe, I recommend you to head there for lunch. good food.
Then, we went to disney downtown for a spreee. There was this poster thingy that you could replace shrek or some other character with your face. super funny.
Then there was lego city..

this lego man snores really loudly..

whahahaha.. both of them are drunk.. except me! grins*

starwars..

some red enemy

giraffeeee
I came across this drawing of Johnny Depp from the Pirates of the Carribean. He's not cute la, but..i just had to like this drawing of him. so coooool, because he's only extremely cute there. The drawing cost US$300.

Oh, remembering it was Christmas, I wanted Turkey but I had none. =( Instead, I had maggi noodles and cream of corn soup for dinner.
On the 26th, I went shopping at Buena Park Mall which is kinda boring. There was walmart where I bought all the different brands of chocolates. Shiok! I like Take 5. Then headed back and ate Tony Roma's for dinner. Oh, i forgot that steak took a long time to cook. I ordered it again, and it took me 2 hours to finally eat it. But dinner is great.
On the 27th, I went to universal studios. The jurassic park ride is superb. It brings you around on a boat to see "living dinosaurs", different kinds and colour and size and types, and it catches your attention. And somehow, I looked up and I saw the flying dino above my head, and before I could look forward, the boat plunge straight down an 84-foot vertical drop waterfall. Super fun! And I love the Studio tour, it is super cool, I visited the making of kingkong and he shook the bridge that my tram was on, and gave a big roar. I visited the houses and cars of the desperate housewifes, the making of singing in the rain, jaws, wars of the World, th grinch stole christmas, CSI..etc.
It's so funny, all the sets are there.. even if it was the pacific ocean, even if it was mexico, even if it was new york city, you name it.. it's there. Everything on the movie is not what it seems.. haha. it's so comical. Do you know that singing in the rain.. was actually singing in the milk. Cuz milk appears to be more observable on camera, so when you see rain on tv, it's milk. And one thing I found meaningful is at the backdraft workshop, which showed the making of backdraft.
i'm so gonna watch it. It shows the courage of firefighters that risk their lives to fight dangerous fires every single day. Thank God Singapore don't have many big fires. I went into the workshop and experience the hotness of a big fire that started in a factory with many fuels. (imagine that). The smoke accumulated in a room and burned until there was no more oxygen left, then when the room door was open, the smoke got into contact with the oxygen and started a blazing mega big flame. It's really cool, go catch backdraft when it comes out. Then, it burn burn burn until it got so hot, that the bridge i'm standing at got loose and slide sideways.. but it's a workshop la, so everything is sorta pre-planned.
on the 28th, (wednesday)i went to K-mart to pick up babyruth! Then headed back to the hotel and took prime time to the airport.. the security is super tight and ended up taking a long long time to check in. My scheduled flight is tmr on the 29th (thursday), but with a leap of faith, I wanted to come back for Smash! So I prayed. Colin's couldn't get on the flight that he wanted, so in the end, he went on his scheduled flight. So that was added a freaky point for me..
From 330pm, i waited to check-in, but wasn't allowed because it wasn't my scheduled flight. heh. Then, until 15 mins before departure, I managed to get on board the plane, and so, me and my family ran to gate 101. I tell you, it's a blessing. It was a special plane, the whole plane was business class seats; spacious, 18hours flight only, leg rest, seat extention, singpore sling to drink, nice pancakes for breakfast. everything is just great, i tell ya. except for the one time, that I went to the toilet to puke because the person beside me had extremely smelly feet. She took off her shoes and raised her feet (with socks) on the leg rest and I just 'ren' until I cannot tahan anymore, i puke. it's stinks! finally, it's 6am on a friday, 30th dec.
Oh btw, there wasnt any snow. The days were short, it turned dark at 5pm. Nothing much to buy, just chocolates man! haha. rachel and the chocolate factory.
i'm so glad i'm home...
getting ready for Smash!

The Apple in the Garden of Eden is deeply inviting,
yet supposedly forbidden.
That's why you think of it day and night.
You see it but you can't have it.
And the only way to rid the temptation
is to yield and taste
the fruit.
Interesting, ain't it?

I met dolly and her lil puppy while jogging just now. I feel so much lighter now. But then, I can't resist a bar of tim tams or a tub of calbury caramel ice cweam. rawr!
I miss listening to that 'flying high' song. For a moment, I can't remember what the title is. oh wells. I have this amazing song I never knew in my zen limey, it's called Amazing by Jakarta Praise. It's really awesome. It goes like this..
You're my everything
The reason I sing
You taken me under your wings
I'm closer to you
My life is in your hands
My heart beats in your perfect love
My lips shall praise you
Adore you
And lifting my love up in sync.
It's really neat. I love it. God is awesome and totally amazing. I finally finish reading the whole textbook of consumer behaviour. Reading the textbook is a chore, total chore. Like what Agnes said, it suks. Every chapter lasts for 20 to 30 pages.
But I'm thankful, i'm done with it. Yay. And seriously, I wanna spot questions although it was not advisable, but I think I know which chapters are most likely to come out on sat's paper. I'm thankful for the wisdom I was given to understand the terminologies and in fact a much bigger brain to remember everything.
Cell christmas party is this sunday, 18th. Interested parties are kindly invited. please tag on the left. Gift of $5 are to be brought along to the party. It's sad that exams are just around the corner and I won't be able to bring anyone. rah. Been thinking whether to go or not to go for the party since I have another paper the next day. But.. which is more important in the long run? hmmmm.. I decided to go for the party and taking it as a break from all that pan-fried nonsense in my brain. haha. time for some good food?
I started packing my luggage today. It's winter over there. currently at 11 degrees. I hope there's snow, then I can bring it back for you. grin*
Alrighty, i'm bored. today is not a boring day, just that i'm bored. I made a pair of earrings for the fashionistic babes. I wrapped 20 presents today. Wrapping is quite fun. haha. oh, i dun like wrapping present for evelyn cuz she always anyhow tear and throw the NICE wrapper away.
alrighty.. back to earth.

I'm looking forward..@12/12/2005 11:54:00 PM
I'm looking forward..Really.
I'm looking forward to a white christmas. It's gonna be a new experience. It's been quite a while since I went on a trip with my whole family. It's gonna be so great. I'm hype and totally excited. YAy! one week more to go. I wish my baby could share my excitement too.
Yesterday was our anniversary. We had our kind of fun. I gave him a caterpillar which could dance but he didn't like it. I knew that was coming but I just had to see his funny reaction to it. hahaha. He was sweeeeet. He wrote me my favourite song; Bon Jovi's I'll be there for you.
Sometimes I'm afraid of what is to come for the days i'm not around. But nonetheless, it's time to cherish and appreciate everything around me, especially the people I care about and mean something to me.
On a sad note, granny's in hospital. Her blood count is rather low... or should I say extremely low. She havent accept the ONE yet. so it's not her time to go. I want her to stay, I love her so. I just started opening to her, she's really nice to chat with except at times I can't understand her lingo of khek. I hope she gets well soon and recover from the fall.
I must be joyful.
I must be joyful.
I must be joyful.
Really.
Time for caramel ice cweam.. with waffles. Good morning Gelare.

Did i mention I like usher?
Did i mention I need something to keep all my accessories (a.k.a. necklace) in place?
Did i mention I need more lime paint?
Did i mention I don't mind anything nice?
That's all, folks! grin*

Last Day.@12/12/2005 03:13:00 PM
it's the last day of the term. YaY!
i can't wait till exams are over. it's such a dread that everyone else is playing and having fun except those at TP.. oops.
I recall on the last day of school at KC was a waste of time, seriously. we either did some cleaning up of the desks, packed the chairs to the side and clean up the mess we made thru out the year. Then, there would be autographs albums passing around which got a little creative with pictures and funny poems and songs about the particular person. There were mini parties like fingerfoods and cakes specially baked by the home econs students. Those days I miss.
My neighbour is blasting Colin Raye's Love me. haha. reminds me of michael tong.
Anyway, back to the last days. At TP, the last day i remember was the last day of poly days. We had a little marketing party with pizzas and drinks beside the staff room. There are a few things i miss at TP. For one, i miss training. oh no, i mean i miss coach but yah, i sorta miss training with coach. Secondly, I miss food comm (the lift incident). Thirdly, I miss CCN day. And i defintely miss the company, the friends and the homely feel. TP biz is seriously the place to be.
Today, it's the last day i'll be seeing erm.. (what is my class called?) oh well, haha. i did some butter cookies which taste yummy, some cards and getting my tutorial homework ready. It's the last case study for consumer behaviour, the last time I'll ever be in that class, it's the last. I'm happy i guess.
But then again, I guess I'll miss the frantic moments of trying to print the MM slides using a laopok printer, the fellow singaporeans groupmates, the supper outings with dolly, lindsey, cherlyn and mabel. The bus rides to school with Agnes and Fei. The random chats with Ivy, margaret, malcom. It's nice. They are nice. Sweet memories. Well, there's always a time to move on.
And there i'll be.

rah. so tired. i always get the impression that sunday is for slacking. But this happen to be a week of mugging. oh wells, the weather is so nice that I just wanna lie in bed and dream.
okay, before i try to get my book out, lemme list my thoughts of things to do after the exams.
*Play paintball
*Blading till the sunsets
*Swimming in the night
*Dancing in the rain
*Design a tee
*Shopping in U.S.
*Packing my suitcase for the long holiday
and hmmm.. time for caramel ice cweam soon. grin*
oh btw, i miss driving. I wanna own a volkswagen or a minicooper or a swift, or a bmw z4. I realized that it's getting harder to stay joyful in the midst of being so busy and tired doing things that i don't exactly like to do. So hmmm, God please help me find joy in studying.

Apparently, I'm looking forward to play bang!, Cranium, steamboat and movie marathon. Seems like it's gonna be a really exciting time out with the girls. Ohhh.i met kexian and she's coming over too. goody.
And I just bought another Victoria Secrets's pink top, whih i didn't intend to buy but i thought i just bid on it for FUN. oh man! I don't like pink. ugh.
oh wells. Anyway, exams are pretty around the corner, so please try not to distract me like playing real hard cuz your 'A's are over. haha. my sorry. but I shall confine myself to my blue box.
I went for medical yesterday. yay. the thing i don't like about such medical checkups is the urine test. Cause I always end up peeing before the actual test where they need the urine. rah. So i'll end up in the toilet or by the watercooler drinking my fill. Super uncool.
Ohhh.. i won't be around for christmas, i'm going to the states. Yay! my first time celebrating christmas overseas. And i'm defintely looking forward to it. I'm going to L.A. and hopefully San Francisco, probably see Jo there. =)
Ohh. i have an annoucement, is anyone interested in becoming faces on printed ads and tv commercials? It's a brand new experience and grooming lessons are sponsored. So fun right? Teach you to walk, sit, do your makeup, smile properly. haha. super fun la. No need to pay for anything, no portfolio, no $$ at all. Just provide your own heels and makeup.
Please contact me or leave a comment. I'll let you know more about it. Thanks. pictures of my cell outing. we played a rendition of 'i forgot the name'.
the first dish was laska. the last dish was ice cream.

L for Laksa.
followed by A_______.

Then, R_________

Then, K_________. We had a tough time deciding whether to have kangkong and embarrased ourselves in the restaurant or koropok which is super unhealthy and ends with yet another 'K' or a huge box of kokocrunch without milk (that was the smallest size). Then we found kiwi ice blended. A little sour but i like it. it's lime green!

Then, 'S' for

And 'T' for ____________. This is a very famous tofu stall which has pictures and posters around featuring how yummy it is. Good thing we pounced upon it. Yum yum.

someone tot tofu was spelled as tau fooo. haha. I shan't say who, but we know la. haha.

let's tuck in!
The next dish starts with 'O'.. What could it be?
There isn't any pic of the delicious yummy otah. big big otah we had. serious. and it was super yummy but very very spicy. Oh, there isn't any pic because it was overly nice for the cameralady to take a pic of it.

Spooons for our final dish

After all that walking, we defintely deserve some good ice cream. doncha think so?
ohh.. seriously, i had alot of fun. I never knew i could fly, but now i know. And I'm sure you guys enjoyed yourselves too. =)
