It feels funny that my family ain't around
that my friends aren't around to hang out
that the phone doesn't ring as often anymore
that somehow even the new friends I made
can't replace the people i long for
all it could was to make the feelings disappear for a moment.

noone would care if I ever took breakfast in the morning
noone would nag at you for not going for lectures
some places I went like Mac in the wee hours of the morning
it felt i was like at east coast
but the chinese old ah pek said 'we are closing' in pure english with an accent
it jolted me.

the past nights I've been watching full house
the hours i spent i felt i was home
but when the show ended after 16 hours..
it's back.

it's funny how I have so many things to do in Singapore
but over here, i'm afraid I'll get bored
I have so many places I havent been
I have so many friends that I havent met
I have so many things I havent learnt
but why am I all packed to go?

i may be strong
but i'm weak
and I know that my God is with me
i'll keep going.

my nail is bleeding.. i do not know why.

every monday is formal hall. usually for this event, held during dinner, everyone has to be dressed relatively formal as the name goes. However, for tonight, it's pyjamas party during formal hall, finally comfy! *snuggles*

But dinner tonight was not as good. had bread and chicken soup as entree, steamed fish with a small amount of rice, like really small amount (less than half a small bowl) as the main dish and cookies with pecan for dessert. I don't really like fish, and the vegetarian dish was veggie stew.. so like no choice.. i toasted bread!

haha. after coming here, i loveeeeed multi-grain and wholemeal bread! =) so healthy right.

The days ahead are gonna pass really quickly because I have soooo much work to do. I mean like last week I was quite free that I went shopping on thurs (city in the afternoon and went to matilda bay in the evening), fri (harbour town with nicole & georgie in the afternoon) (13:30 vibe - FCC at night), saturday (city to refund stuff, and bought stuff and headed to subiaco for turkish food and groceries), sunday (church in the morning, KFC lunch, Belly dancing at Oasis to see Rose, one of the best professionals in perth, headed to stef's house for chinese homecook dinner). =) And i played bang! finally. woohooo!

The sermon for that week was on family, how we should appreciate our family and that church is the home away from home. And how parents should create memories like spending time with the kids, because children are a gift from God just for a season. And the reasons of God giving us a family. Family is where there is encouragement, comfort from the storms of life. Family is where the fun, the laughter and the memories are. Family is where the values, character of a person is built up.
Having said of these, I was like oh man! I'm already homesick, and the topic just had to be that.. but i'm learning to live on my own, but nevertheless, home is where the heart is. =)

Back to work.. I have like 3 project reports to be due in 3 weeks time around 13th april, and my exams are on the 10th and 11th of April. What a massive rush. The weather here has been really mad, probably because of the cyclone at the south of perth. It has been like 16 degrees in the morning, 28 degrees in the afternoon. It confuses me on what to wear. backkk to doing tute.

three groups of dancerThis is the oriental medley. It is a dance complilation showing three different styles of Raqs Sharqi. If you look cosely to the picture.. there are actually 2 groups of people dancing different styles.


This formation reminds me of kaal ho naal ho! =) i think this is entitled two souls, one spirit. two tribes from diverse paths meet their differences creating distance between them, then lost in the music and joy of dance they unite as one.

i like this dance because the skirts are simply stunning. super colourful!


This is double sword dance, my teacher is there if u can spot here, i think it's the blue one. they had to shake their bellies while balancing the swords. one on the head, one on the underside of the elbow. cool?

i'm in the midst of writing my 1200 words essay about the future of China. It ain't easy doing something I never liked, I never once tried to write, I have no idea how to start writing about it. But hey, i think i'm doing on fine, at least, i guess. i'm on my 500th word. haha. good job! *pat back* with a fear of not doing it good enough.

my week has been pretty good! i'm very proud of myself for attending the time management skills course. YAY! mel attended it with me cuz she stayed over at my place and after that we intended to go for late night shopping (9am to 9pm) at harbourtown. Which apparently only took us like 3 hours and we went to the city which took us 2 hours. haha. now i know i can finish shopping fast, i can go in the evening after i got some work done.

i'm going for the wet party by faith at city beach later, i'm actually more excited about the nasi lemak that i'll be having. oops. but seriously, i have alot of cravings of food. i wanna eat near zhi's house ching ting and 121 chicken rice and simpang bedok roti prata and toa payoh rojak and KC nasi bryani and katong laksa and takopachi and Bread papa's chocolate eclair.. ehh. wait. here got nicer chocolate eclairs tho. haha. so people in singapore.. eat all you can!

did i mention, its common to have bbq in aust. like practically every school event which is like every week there is a bbq and it quite bad.. oh well, wish me luck for belly dancing classes later!

Finally I get to rest after a week long of work work and more work.
I started chiong-ing on my tutes and studying from last Friday till today.
which is a good attempt, but i'm getting tired.

The units taken in Singapore are like so much easier than here. The mid term test are MCQs and we get help for assignments. But here, not only are the tests like essay questions, the tutorial questions are essay type too. And I take like one whole day to prepare for a tute. I feel like a failure cuz i cant manage my time properly. rawr!
These few days has been quite shiok during dinners. haha. you can say i'm getting bored of hall food. Yst I had chilli mussels at conca's and it's really nice and spicy. Spicy spicy! i really miss the chilli, especially the chicken rice chilli.
i cant wait to go home!

During service last sunday, it really hit me that my life should be lived for others and not just for me, myself and I. Ever since I came to perth, it's really me, myself and I when I learn how to be independent, to look out for myself, to find a church, to buy my groceries, to wash my clothes, to make new friends. I was really living for myself cuz I had no one there to live for. Then I realize that it's meaningless. In order to make my joy complete, it is living for others. That's what I came here for anyway. J.O.Y stands for Jesus, Others, You. So that's the priority. What does it matter if I get paiseh, or scolded or laughed at, so long as I do the right thing and Christ is preach.

It is true that I stumble and fall, but I picked myself up and asked myself, What does it matter in the end? After a while, people will forget that they ever laughed at you, the pain you felt when you got scolded isn't something so unfortunate or worse than someone who is disabled. So what does it matter? God is really good to me and He provided for all my needs. He is the ultimate Jehovah Jireh - my provider. Thank you all for offering prayers for me, I can't say you can stop praying cuz I really need those prayers. It may seem easy on the outside, but truly, it's a feat!

belly dancing class is cancelled for today, just as when i pick up courage to go. hahaha. it's somehow mind boggling.

the weather is crazy. my hands are really cold. It was like 36 degrees yesterday and today, 15.5 degrees, everyone is wearing sweaters. It was too hot to wear jeans just the other day, and now it's too cold that I have to wear double layers. it's funny yet exciting yet trumatizing. haha.

today's our one year anniversary dear! I know your in bangkok now, enjoy urself!

i'm so cold... wahh. i wonder how exams gonna be in winter, i'm kinda looking forward to it, finally i get to go to school in winter in boots. yay! =)

i'm listening to Jim brickman, it's really nice with a classy edge. i'm so glad I found someone who enjoys watching plays. The upcoming 'menopause' is so interesting and appealling but it's freaking expensive. rawr!

I will have to forgo that but nvm, i'm going for 'seussical'. it's about the books by dr seuss. i love green eggs and ham! i'm so looking forward to it.

I realize that the way i blog recently is by whatever that comes to my mind. And so it's kinda random, forgive me. Like what shalom calls me, sporadic thoughts. heh.

No school today!

I think i'm kinda slow in doing work.. I take like 1 day to finish one tutorial assignment, first I read like 3 chapters, make notes and then answer the questions. I think I've gotta be more productive.

I went shopping today at the city. haha. been buying alot of scrapbook materials here, which i intend to probably make a nice memory book of perth! I have like alot of colourful designed papers, pop-up stickers, eyelets, alpha stickers, photos which i havent printed out but I dunno where to start. Any ideas anyone?

over at aussie, consumer rights is like a strong party! So whenever you wanna get a refund for something you bought just because it wasn't something that suit ur occassion, or something that you suddenly didn't like, or something that was torn or just anything about it, you can get your money back. Which i did. hahaha. I got a refund for a dress I bought because i found out it was torn when I got home.

My current project is about consumer rights so Good research done for my project anyway. *pats back* marketing rawks! I'm working with 3 ang mos for market research. wish me luck!

somehow, it came across my mind that asian business is maybe not the major I shud take cuz it is so difficult! But nonetheless, I have chosen to take up the challenge, so I will continue to perserve on.

At cats, it's really terrible with the events and meetings that I hardly ever make it for cellgrp. I hope I'll be able to go for cell next week! I'm looking forward to it!
