anyhoos, all you FCCians in perth, i'm sure by now, you're in awe of the rainbows at timor leste and you have seen how terrible i looked on video with my testimonial sharing. okay, oh wells, all for the glory of God. i'm glad the video touched your hearts and made some of you teared. but really, you gotta see it for yourself. it's amazing, everything about missions is amazing!
if i could do it again, i'm so going. but first, i have to get some better malaria pills, and stop the burps from coming back again.
i wanna go timor leste!
p.s. if you can get a copy of that video for me, it wold be fantastic! i wanna relive the moments. simple moments. the present is the best gift ever.

night safari@8/26/2007 10:22:00 PM

oh yes, that's right. it's my first time to night safari. singapore, small as it may seem on the map or seem like to you, there is so much to see and do. especially to do with food. ulu ulu is really expensive.
but anyhoos, these crazy foursome travelled all the way to mandai to visit the creatures of the night. we saw alot of funny named animals like bearded pig, lesser mousedeer, greater mousedeer. colin's fav was the otters, they are really cute but stinko. i love the way they savour their catch of the day.
my favorite is none other than the leopard. it's so beautiful. it made my day, it walked just beside me. it's way cool, thank God for making it.
wait till i get my hands on the photoshop disc, there'll be more collages and fun! stay tune.
i wanted to hear the king of the jungle's mighty mighty roar.
me: RAWR!
kok: was that a yawn?!
me: RAWR!
lion:...(asleep)

this is an angry girl's post, please read with care.
i'm super pissed.
firstly, i'm not late for work, neither was i rushing.
the blardy taxi driver never signal just cut in front of me, leaving me jamming my ebrake. still dare to come out and shout at me.
people who have a license please behave like you own one legally.
don't your trusty instructors teach you to check your blindspot and signal!
signalling saves lives, not your stupid car battery.
stupid taxi drivers!
stupid comfort cab!
now, i seriously, don't care if your making a living out of it, by driving recklessly.
you don't have to shout at me when you're obviously in the wrong.
hate it when you realise you're finally in the wrong, then you shout forget it.
do i look like some kid that you can intimidate just by shouting?!
oh please, drive with care.
if you're coming after me, you're so gonna get it.
rawrs!
p.s. my monstercar is optimus prime's bestfriend.

the rhapsody of new york.on this trip, travelled to new york city, new jersey, niagara falls.
welcome to John F. Kennedy airport.

//to new york city please..

//the subway
at Niagara falls
Maid of the mist!

night view of the waterfall, see the rainbow behind me?

from the corning glass musuem, my favourite twirly

pick a number. how many caseroles are there?

//tallies across staten island.

//the urm.. bridge.

dinner at planet hollywood with beyonce, arnold and friends. i had the world famous chicken strips, plate of baby back ribs, chicken something linguine, mango smoothies.
fabulous dinner ambience, not very relaxing though, but quite top-notch service from the entrance to the toilets.
caught the phantom of the opera at majestic on broadway.
breathless, it is awesome.
the queue to the buying of tickets was as long as buying the 9pmish show at cineleisure, then 40mins before the doors open, there is a super long queue outside already as if it was free seating, i guess it's the whole excitement thingy.
And it's full house as if it's the first week of opening. anyways, the effects is fantastic, the voices were fantastic, the changing of scenes were so quick as if it was like magically breathe into life.
the scene about phantom appearing for the first time as the angel of music taking the lead away into his secret dungeon through the boat rides and all. it's like the musical captured every detail of it. it's awesome!
i like watching musicals and this is not one of the best, it is the best. the rest before cannot match up. you just have to catch a broadway musical, it rocks.
and i finally grasp the whole thing about a standing ovation.
first, it starts with a few people in awe rising to their feets clapping their hands, then as more and more people start to stand, they start blocking the views of those behind them and in the end everyone has to stand. so that's what you call a standing ovation.
dinner after the musical, was craving for soba and miso soup. but tada, all i got was tempura. it was a jap looking restaurant with a jap name, but the dishes were a fusion of east and west. did i mention the servings were huge, even one piece of sushi was huge, it looked like a sandwich.

//dinner, non-authentic japanese food but fulfilling
shopped at fifth avenue, sixth, seventh, eighth, madison avenue and the streets and mega malls and you name it.

//5th avenue flea market

//madison avenue

//common metal trees @madison square park

//wall street
when they say just it's pretty near, a few blocks away, prepare ur havanians cause your going on a road trip, literally.
one thing i really dislike is the numerous stairs at the subway, especially when your lugging your luggage around. suddenly, the wheels at the bottom of that metal case doesn't seems non-existent. and especially when u realise that the train you wanna take is closed. Apparently, only when u reach the entrance of that train track then you'll realise it's close. ha!

//canal street station aka chinatown aka dimsum aka yums!
the first day was tiring to the maximum. being awake at 4am in the morning, lugging the luggage up and down stairs, trying to figure how the subway works, it's terribly confusing. then when u finally arrive at the hotel, the long flight of stairs greet you, and you frown.
Then you start to wonder, where's that big bang of an apple?
till the next morning, or rather 2am in the morning, you awake to find your stomach rumbling and you snack the whole night till the shops open at 8ish. slightly refreshed and excitedly, you head out to see the big apple.
slowly, it reveals itself as new york the big apple, the empire state.

//statue of liberty the fake

//art @brooklyn bridge

//R for rachy @toy'r'us ferris wheel
oh right, there was a tornado.
on that same morning, i woke up to a flooded roof, staying on the 24th storey which overlooked times square. that was how bad the storm was.
the news showed flooded areas and warned everyone to stay in till the situation stablizes, but i was seriously hungry, so i went out.

//delightful waffles
the tornado was accompanied by a flood. all subways and buses stopped all operations. smoke came up from manholes (ninja turtle drains) making the roads all steamy and smokey. it was an interesting sight, i found it quite amusing.
was supposed to visit the empire state building, the one that king kong climbed onto, yeah. check this out.

// the empire state building is one of the tallest, this is the view in the arvo. in the morning, the clouds dip really low that covering even the first building on the picture.

back from new york.
photos up soon.
missing uncle bruce.
didn't get to say my last goodbye.
love.
sick to the brim.
throat infection that has affected my hearing
numb my senses.
utterly painful.
ughhhhh.
i miss the air that i breathe in perth.
i miss my hiding place.
where the rainbow fits right into the paddle pop sky
dolphins jump up to greet you
the grass so crispy as you sit it crackles
the sunshine after the rain
only at matilda bay.
i miss curling up on my bed with a book and music playing in the background
with muffins baking in the oven
sunlight that warmths the house and brightens up the room
the cool breeze that gently blows through my hair
and sends the leaves rustling its sound
i miss that.

awful chocolate.
never once He failed me
to answer all that was in my head.
He knows my thoughts.
indeed.
how awful.
to be told once again
that someone just gotta break your heart.
how awful can that someone be
that made chocolate this bad.
how awful.
to see the repugnance again
that someone thought it might evoke my senses
how awful can that someone be
that made chocolate distasteful.
no more such awful chocolate.
